OSAA State Solo Competition

 Lewis and Clark University



Burns High School Band Soloists topped the Central Oregon Music Educators Association Festival, March 2nd, at Ridgeview High School in Redmond Oregon.  They will be performing at  the OSAA State Solo Competition May 4th at Lewis and Clark University in Portland.

Brianna Farrally placed first in the Soprano division and will be performing the aria

“Se tu ma’mi” by Alessandro Parisotti.  Her accompanist is Debby Peckham.


Jon Caponetto placed first in both Trombone and Clarinet divisions. He will perform ‘Concertino’ by Weber on clarinet and ‘Concertino’ by Eric Larson on trombone.

His accompanist is Jean Shrader.


Soloists from throughout the state will compete for State honors, performing for a panel of three judges. Awards will be presented in the evening following the individual solo performances. The public is invited to attend the event and support these stellar musicians from Harney County at the OSAA State Solo Competition.
